A DECORATED ARMCHAIR

Circa 1800.
The open armchair with an arched back with carved central shell to the top rail, with bold out-swept scroll arms above a shaped seat rail, on cabriole legs joined by a shaped stretcher.
The whole decorated in polychrome and gilt with neo-classical motifs.
