Description / Expertise
An elegant and fine pair of late 18th century Sheraton period satinwood and mahogany commodes, the D-shaped crossbanded and ormolu-banded tops inset with foliate half patera, above a frieze with fielded panels of mahogany, the central doors centred with mahogany ovals enclosing a single shelf with conforming panels to the sides, on square tapering legs.
